Full Process of Safety Operations for Lithium Forklift Charging

Date: Jun 20, 2025

1. Pre-charging Preparations

1)Check the forklift battery status, ensure no damage or leakage;
2)Verify charging equipment is intact (power cables free of aging, interfaces secure);
3)Clear flammables from the charging area and ensure ventilation—this is the basic guarantee for lithium forklift charging safety.

2. Charging Operation Specifications

1)Park the vehicle in the dedicated charging area and turn off all power;
2)Correctly connect the charger to the battery interface;
3)Start the lithium forklift charging program, monitor voltage/current in real-time (e.g., standard current ≤50A for 60V models), and abort immediately if anomalies are found.

3. Post-charging Inspections

1)After completing lithium forklift charging, disconnect the equipment before moving the machine;
2)Check battery temperature (alert if >50℃) and power status;
3)Inspect the surrounding area for electrolyte leakage or unusual odors.

4. Key Precautions

1)Lithium forklift charging must be attended throughout the process—no unattended operation;
2)In case of temperature spikes, smoking, or other dangers, activate the emergency stop protocol immediately;
3)Test the charging pile grounding resistance monthly (≤0.1Ω) and maintain battery contacts quarterly;
4)Conduct lithium forklift charging in a constant temperature environment (ideal 25℃) to extend battery life by 30%.
